Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Common are among the contributors to Tupac Remembered: Bearing Witness to a Life and Legacy, a new book to be released in February of 2008. Tupac Remembered will feature interviews and first hand accounts from a wide range of rap artists and celebrity notables detailing their memories and personal experiences with ‘Pac. Tupac’s aunt Gloria Cox, friend Molly Monjauze and author Staci Robinson compiled the book. Other contributors and interview subjects include The Outlawz, Talib Kweli, E-40, Treach and poet Maya Angelou. A portion of the profits from the book will help support the Tupac Amauru Shakur Foundation for the Arts.

Eminem is hard at work on his first studio album in three years. The Detroit MC called into New York radio station Hot 97 (WQHT-FM) today (Sept. 13) during a 50 Cent interview and spoke about his own endeavors.

"I'm always working -- I'm always in the studio," he said. "It feels good right now, the energy of the label. For a while, I didn't want to go back to the studio ... I went through some personal things. I'm coming out of those personal things [and] it feels good."

Soulja Boy No. 1

RapSoulja Boy's "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" begins a fifth non-consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in a week when his debut album, "souljaboytellem.com," debuts at No. 4 on The Billboard 200. Kanye West's "Stronger" and Britney Spears' "Gimme More" hold their spots right behind, at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.

Timbaland's "Apologize" featuring OneRepublic is on the move again, jumping 6-4 a week after rocketing from No. 22. Another Timbaland song is right behind, as "The Way I Are" featuring Keri Hilson slides 4-5. J. Holiday's "Bed" rebounds 7-6 and starts a fifth week at No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
